Thank you to all the volunteers that come to our monthly litter pick on Sunday. It was an impressive turnout considering the football the night before and the hot weather. A few came late and a few left early. People are welcome to do as much as they want. See you at our next litter pick.

Thank you to all the volunteers today. We were missing a few regulars and no new faces, just a dedicated few but we managed to bag up multiple bags each. It was fine weather for litter picking and people using nitrous oxide. Unfortunately as the weather warms up it brings out the nitrous oxide users. If people are wondering why place the nitrous oxide cylinders by the bins and not in the bins or in bags it’s because they can explode in the lorries or at the waste facility. There have been numerous incidents in Tower Hamlets and there is a recent article on the BBC as this is a national issue too. These nitrous oxide cylinders have to be collected separately.
