This page was started by the library sponsor and founder Azizah Attard. It is to help parents new to baby carriers find a carrier from the library that best suits them, their baby and their busy schedule. The library was founded in December 2016 with the sole purpose of allowing parents to try carriers before a parent decides which carrier best suits their needs. The small library has been set up
as a Non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), with a commitment to the local community and the intention to grow into a viable educational source for parents. Azizah Attard is a babywearing consultant with Die Trageschule, Slingababy and the School of Babywearing UK. She is passionate about safe baby wearing and the positive effects baby wearing can have on both parent/carer and baby. A social enterprise dedicated to the preservation of the traditional hand loom and hand weaving legacy of Bangladesh. They produce hand woven wraps, Mei Tais and accessories. Azizah also owns another, non profit CIC sling library in Northampton. The Bebe Sachi project is not formally associated with the Sling Clinic and Library or Northampton Library but has donated pieces to the library. Our recommended BW consultants and volunteers:

Aimee is a Born to Carry Peer Supporter. Aimee has been using carriers almost exclusively with the birth of her daughter.She is warm, friendly and passionate about carrying. Madeline Castegnera-Bond
Mum of three and high end womenswear designer Madeline, has been using carriers since the birth of her son in 2009. She's a Born to Carry Peer Supporter and is passionate about safe babywearing, breastfeeding and cloth nappies. Emma Palmer
Emma Palmer has trained with Slingababy and Born to Carry. She has previous experience in running a sling library. Emma has been using carriers almost exclusively with the birth of her daughter. She is enthusiastic and keen to share her experience and knowledge with parents.
