Labour is bringing in new planning powers to tackle the proliferation of HMOs.

We’re on a mission to protect family homes. A mission to stop private interests extracting as much profit as possible from renters. A mission to stop rogue landlords cashing in without any care for our communities or neighbourhoods, while backing the many good landlords who do the right thing.

That’s why our Cabinet Member for Planning and Development is bringing forward measures now to implement the policies set out in our Local Plan.

We’re taking action to put communities first, protect the character of our neighbourhoods and ensure the housing system works for residents, not rogue landlords.
