This weekend marks 100 days since the May elections.

Cllr Linda Bray and Cllr Patrick O’Donnell have been working for all our residents across Clapham, picking up the local issues that matter to you, while catching up with many community groups and businesses that make our area such a great place to live and work.

Lots more to do! 🌹

A huge congratulations to Bandstand Beds who have today been awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service by Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London (and former Clapham Town councillor), Christopher Wellbelove DL! 🪏🪴🫜

The award is the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary groups and is testament to the hard work of David Dandridge and all the volunteers.

We are lucky to have so many fantastic community-minded organisations on Clapham Common. Cllr Linda Bray and Cllr Patrick O’Donnell were delighted to pick up some locally made jams and chutney too!! ❤️

📢🗑️ BINS ARE COMING BACK

Thanks to everybody who signed our petition to bring back our bins to Clapham and Stockwell.

We’re really pleased that Lambeth Council have finally listened and some litter bins have just returned to the High Street.

However, there are still gaps across our neighbourhood and it should not have taken Lambeth Green Party seven weeks to replace them, after countless chasing.

Sign our petition now to bring the rest back!

🚨🚮 BRING BACK OUR BINS!

Several weeks ago, litter bins were removed from multiple locations along Clapham High Street and Wandsworth Road.

Since then, the local Labour councillors representing Clapham and Stockwell have repeatedly raised concerns and called for their reinstatement in full.

Despite multiple requests, Lambeth Council now says it will “not be reinstating some of the bins that were removed.”

This is not good enough. Many residents and businesses have reported an increase in rubbish in the affected areas, particularly around busy Overground and Underground stations.

We therefore urge Lambeth Green Party to reinstate all our litter bins as soon as possible to help to keep our neighbourhood clean and welcoming for all.

It was great to join hardworking Labour councillors, MPs and members from across our city this weekend at London Labour Conference 2026 🌹🏙️

It was a privilege to speak on behalf of Clapham and Brixton Hill residents about much needed improvements to the Windrush line and Northern line, and to catch up with colleagues on everything from boosting affordable housing, to supporting businesses to grow.

Lots to do, especially with a new Prime Minister in office in Number 10. A special shoutout to the Lambeth crew too!!

🌳 💦 Clapham Common Waterplay will be closed until the weekend due to urgent works. We have been in contact with the Parks team this week who have issued the below update.

//

Dear resident,

The Clapham Common Waterplay facility has been temporarily closed to disinfect the water tank.

Our teams are working to complete the necessary cleaning and safety checks as quickly as possible, with the aim of reopening by the weekend, subject to those checks being completed successfully.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents for their patience and understanding while this essential work takes place.

Further updates will be shared as soon as they are available.

Thank you,

Lambeth Parks
