Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK on 27th August 2026 received Ghanaian student leaders from the University of Bradford at the Mission.

The High Commissioner encouraged the students to uphold Ghanaian values, good conduct and high moral standards, stressing that their actions abroad contribute to shaping Ghana’s image.

Discussions also focused on strengthening collaboration with Ghanaian student groups to promote Ghanaian culture and values. The Mission further indicated that it is exploring partnerships with companies to create internship opportunities for Ghanaian students in the UK.

The student leaders were assured of the Mission’s commitment to engaging them in relevant programmes and activities.

Ghanaian food entrepreneur Chichi Yakubu - Your IG Sister of NyoNyo Essentials paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson at the Ghana High Commission in London. She congratulated H.E. on her historic appointment as the first female Ghanaian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom since 1957 and shared details of her culinary classes, which offer members of the diaspora visiting Ghana an opportunity to experience and learn to cook Ghanaian cuisine.

H.E. Sabah Zita Benson commended Chichi Yakubu for using food to tell the Ghanaian story and promote the country’s rich culinary heritage, noting that her culinary experience has the potential to become one of the activities visitors look forward to adding to their itinerary when travelling to Ghana.

Ghanaian gospel artiste Nana Yaw Boakye, popularly known as M.O.Gmusic, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson at the Ghana High Commission in London, where he extended an invitation to H.E. and the High Commission to his upcoming “Back to the Basics” Worship Experience, taking place on 22 August 2026 at the OVO Arena Wembley, with gates opening at 5:00 p.m.
