🎤One Month To Karaoke Lift Off

Right then. Time to warm up those vocal cords.

Bearpit Karaoke returns to Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens on 13 June, and this is your official one-month warning to start practising in the shower, on the bus or three pints in at the pub.

Joe & Co are back for more chaotic sing-alongs, power ballads and crowd favourites in our mini open-air amphitheatre.

No judges. No dignity required. Just pick a song and get up to the front.

Who gets to shape greener cities?

As part of Big Vauxhall Tree Week, this community roundtable brings together local experts working on tree planting, stewardship and urban green spaces — right here in Vauxhall.

From caring for young trees to thinking long-term about healthier streets, this is a chance to hear directly from the people helping shape the neighbourhood’s greener future.

There’ll also be a Q&A for questions and ideas from the room.

.coffee has opened on Black Prince Road, bringing a clean, simple approach to coffee in Vauxhall.

Run by Nancy and her crew, it’s all about good beans and properly made coffee — no fuss.

We stopped by for a taste test and can confirm: the flat white is spot on.

As more independents open across the area, this is another welcome addition to Vauxhall’s growing coffee scene.

🌳 Design Your Dream Treehouse 🪵

What would your perfect treehouse look like?

As part of Big Vauxhall Tree Week, local artist Vicky Long and DSHA Architects are inviting young people to spend the day sketching, building and creating ideas for dream treehouses in the middle of Vauxhall’s green spaces.

The workshop moves from drawing and observation through to model-making and hands-on prototyping using recycled materials — all inspired by the trees and landscape around Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.

No experience needed. Just imagination.

Big Vauxhall Tree Week runs 10–17 May, bringing a full programme of walks, talks, screenings and community conversations into the neighbourhood.

Across the week, there’s a mix of guided walks, expert-led sessions, creative workshops and film screenings — all centred on one idea: greener neighbourhoods work better for everyone.

It’s also a chance to see what’s already changing in Vauxhall, with more planting, improved public spaces and stronger links between people and place.

Three Buds. Coffee. Gelato. Community

What a treat for the summer to have a new place to eat gelato, drink iced coffee and hang out!

Welcome to Vauxhall . Founded by Sara, a local who ditched her job in the city to open the cafe located in the far right-hand corner of Vaxcuahll Park. Just opposite the model village.

Big Vauxhall Tree Week: Lunchtime Walks 🌳

Take your lunch break outside.

As part of Big Vauxhall Tree Week, these guided walks take a closer look at the trees literally shaping Vauxhall’s streets and green spaces.

Led by Lambeth’s Tree Planting Programme Manager, Poppy George, the Tuesday walk will give you an insight into how trees are chosen, planted and cared for — and why they matter for air quality, biodiversity and cooling the city.

It’s practical, local and easy to fit into the day.
