🥁 Families and Children’s Day at Notting Hill Carnival may be over, but the memories will last long after the costumes are packed away 🪇

From vibrant masquerade costumes to unforgettable performances, the children’s and families masquerade bands brought creativity, culture and joy to the streets, proudly carrying Carnival traditions into the next generation. Well done to all the talented young Mas performers 👏

Carnival kicks off this Bank Holiday Weekend with Families Day today 🎉

If you’re heading along, remember to:

stay hydrated 💧
wear comfortable shoes 👟
stick with your group 👯‍♀️
have an agreed meeting point 🪧
Take a mobile phone charger 🔌
plan your journey to and from Carnival in advance, as public transport will be affected 🚇

At 3pm on Sunday and Monday, Carnival will also pause for a 72-second Moment of Reflection in memory of the 72 lives lost in the Grenfell Tower fire 💚
