We take a zero tolerance approach to graffiti in Westminster, to make the city a great place for everyone. Cllr Tim Mitchell has been out with our crew from Veolia - UK to see them at work.

From graffiti and fly tipping to potholes and abandoned vehicles, Report It helps us to keep our streets clean.

Changes to Tachbrook Street Market

Residents and visitors are advised that Tachbrook Street Market will be temporarily relocated onto Upper Tachbrook Street from Monday 15 June to Sunday 5 July. This is to allow for essential utility works to be carried out.

Please note that, during this period, all parking bays will be suspended between Warwick Way and Longmoore Street though spaces further along the street remain accessible.

🚫 Don’t get stitched up by fake sellers!

Nearly 200 suspected fake designer hats were seized in Piccadilly - alongside illegal ci******es, cannabis-laced vapes and unsafe goods.

Our trading standards officers also recovered:
✔️ Illicit vapes
✔️ Fake designer items (Gucci, LV, Stone Island & more)
✔️ Counterfeit electronics and accessories

Cllr Caroline Sargent said:
“Fake designer goods are a false bargain… We’re stepping up enforcement and targeting those behind these operations.”

Remember, buy safely, check labels, and report fakes to us ✅

A change has been made on Agar Street following feedback from the local community 🚲

After concerns were raised by residents, businesses and the police, the virtual dockless bike bay on Agar Street has now been removed. The area had experienced ongoing antisocial behaviour, with bikes frequently being misused, impacting the surrounding street environment. Following a review of the situation, it was agreed that the location was no longer suitable as a bike parking bay 💬

This decision supports ongoing efforts to keep Westminster’s streets cleaner, safer and more welcoming for everyone who lives, works and visits the area. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their feedback and help shape improvements in the community 💚

Have you noticed more abandoned bikes during Tube strikes? 💬

With Tube strikes increasing demand for cycling across London, Westminster often sees a surge in abandoned dockless bikes left blocking pavements, taxi ranks and busy pedestrian routes.

To help tackle the issue, we have introduced more than 380 dedicated bike parking bays across the city. However, during strike periods these spaces can quickly become overcrowded as more people look for alternative ways to travel.

We’ve called on bike operators to do more to manage their fleets, while our City Inspectors have stepped up enforcement to keep streets safe, accessible and moving.

These bikes were obstructing a taxi rank and blocking the pavement, creating difficulties for pedestrians and other road users. As a result, fines have been issued and operators were required to remove them as a matter of urgency.
