As London Tech Week 2026 comes to a close today, Indonesia is proud to have joined global conversations on innovation, digital transformation, and the future of AI. 🇮🇩🇬🇧

A highlight of Indonesia’s participation was the Indonesia–UK Digital Dialogue: Powering the Future: AI and Economic Growth within the Digital Ecosystem, which brought together policymakers, innovators, investors, and industry leaders to explore how AI can drive growth, strengthen digital ecosystems, and empower talent.

The programme featured a fireside chat between Melania Edwards(Managing Partner, Limitless) and Edwin Hidayat Abdullah (Director General .komdigi), followed by a panel discussion with Cipto Adiguno, (Co-founder and Managing Partner of Indiesche Partners), Russ Shaw CBE (Founder of Tech London Advocates), Susanti Kwan (Founder ), Setyo Guritno (CEO .id), , and Arifin Putra (Co Founder of ) on the role of AI talent in shaping a sovereign digital future.

One message resonated throughout the discussions: the future of AI will be shaped not only by technology, but by the people, partnerships, and ideas behind it.

🚀 Day 2 at the Indonesia Pavilion highlighted the growing strength of the Indonesia–UK innovation partnership.

Our masterclass, *Building the Indonesia–UK Innovation Corridor*, was opened by Ambassador , followed by a keynote address from Director General of Digital Ecosystem at , edwinhidayatabdullah.

Moderated by representatives from Habibie Innovation Incubator, Mr. Arifin Putra (Co-Founder) and Raka Ikrar , (the Intl. Startup Engagement Manager), the session brought together six Indonesian startups to pitch their ideas and connect with potential investors and collaborators:

Ambassador joined the vibrant atmosphere of PPI UK Olympics 2026 in Manchester, bringing together Indonesian students from across the UK through sports, arts, and friendship.

Under the theme “Beyond Limits, Bound by Spirits,” this year’s event marked a special milestone as PPI UK welcomed Indonesian diaspora community groups to participate alongside students for the first time, strengthening bonds across the Indonesian community in the UK.

Bringing a little piece of Indonesia to Windsor 🇮🇩❤️

DCM and the team were delighted to support Indonesia Summer Fair 2026, a vibrant initiative by the Indonesian community in Windsor that brought together the flavours, sounds, and spirit of home.

From delicious Indonesian delicacies, festive cultural dances, beautiful angklung performance by the Indonesian community in Wales, to traditional games like congklak, the fair was filled with joy, nostalgia, and togetherness.

A wonderful day celebrating Indonesian culture, community, and friendship. Moments like these remind us that no matter how far we are from Indonesia, home is never too far away when we come together.

We are proud to celebrate two of our dedicated colleagues who have been recognised at the Embassy Long Service Awards 2026, organised by the Embassy Network.

🏆 Ms. Indarty (Alty) was awarded Long Service Officer of the Year for Asia 2026.

👏 Mr. Djamal was selected as a Finalist for Long Service Officer of the Year for Asia 2026.

The Long Service Officer of the Year 2026 award recognises exceptional dedication and commitment to diplomatic service. Notably, the nominations and selection process are based on votes cast by members of the diplomatic community across the United Kingdom.

Both officers have served at the Embassy of Indonesia for more than 35 years, demonstrating dedication, professionalism, and service to the Indonesia and the wider London Diplomatic Community.
