【台灣碳費獲英國 CBAM 納入合格碳定價機制 🇹🇼🇬🇧】

英國政府近日公布碳邊境調整機制（CBAM）的「合格碳定價機制」（Qualifying Carbon Pricing Scheme, QCPS）名單，「台灣碳費（Taiwan Carbon Fee）」正式列入其中！

首階段全球僅有 16項碳定價制度獲納入，包括歐盟、日本、韓國、新加坡等主要碳定價制度，台灣碳費也名列其中。

這項進展顯示，台灣的碳定價制度已具備與國際制度接軌的基礎，將有助於台灣出口產業因應全球碳邊境調整措施，降低國際貿易中的碳定價衝擊，並維持國際競爭力。從碳定價接軌國際，到產業低碳轉型，台灣持續與全球攜手邁向淨零未來🌱

Taiwan Carbon Fee included among the UK’s CBAM qualifying carbon pricing schemes! 🇹🇼🇬🇧

The UK Government has recently published its list of carbon pricing schemes qualifying under the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), with the Taiwan Carbon Fee officially included!

Only 16 carbon pricing schemes worldwide have been included in the first phase, with Taiwan’s Carbon Fee appearing alongside major schemes from the EU, Japan, South Korea and Singapore.

This recognition demonstrates that Taiwan’s carbon pricing system has established a strong foundation for alignment with international mechanisms. It will help Taiwan’s export industries respond to global carbon border adjustment measures, reduce the impact of carbon pricing on international trade, and maintain their global competitiveness 🌱

From aligning our carbon pricing with international standards to supporting low-carbon industrial transformation, Taiwan is working with partners around the world towards a net-zero future.

During his visit to Palau, Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung met with President Surangel Whipps Jr, Vice President Raynold B. 【姚大使受邀參訪英國王家植物園邱園，我國實習生表現優異深獲邱園盛讚】

本處姚金祥大使應英國王家植物園邱園（Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew）邀請前往參訪，聽取園長簡報並深入關懷臺灣學生的實習狀況。邱園為全球植物科學研究、物種保育及世界文化遺產的國際權威殿堂，今年共有13名臺灣青年在此進行研究與實務培訓，其中包括由教育部青年發展署「青年百億海外圓夢基金計畫」全額資助的6位優秀青年。

臺灣實習生全面融入邱園科學政策與國際合作部、品牌營運部、經濟植物館藏研究、種子庫基因保育中心、植物標本與分類研究部、科普教育與推廣部等各大核心部門，迅速克服文化衝擊融入團隊，發揮專業所長並展現高水準的學術實力與工作態度，各服務單位主管都給予高度讚賞。

參訪期間，姚大使在邱園科研主管及實習生陪同下，參觀該園極具全球權威性的標本庫。台灣實習生們非常感謝政府努力安排促成在邱園實習的機會，姚大使也期許青年們珍惜在英國的時光，好好體驗學習，協助臺英兩國在綠色科技、植物生態研究合作與青年交流。

Ambassador Yao was invited to visit the world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where he received a briefing from Kew’s Director and learned more about the experiences of Taiwanese students undertaking internships there.

As a global leader in plant science, species conservation, and natural heritage, Kew is hosting 13 Taiwanese young people this year for research and professional training, including six outstanding participants fully supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education’s Taiwan Global Pathfinders Initiative.

Taiwanese interns have joined key departments across Kew, including in science policy and international cooperation, brand operations, the Economic Botany Collection, seed and genetic conservation, the herbarium and taxonomy, and public engagement and education. They have quickly adapted to a new cultural and professional environment, contributing their expertise while demonstrating strong academic abilities and professionalism. Their work has received high praise from supervisors across Kew 🌱

During his visit, Ambassador Yao also toured Kew’s internationally renowned herbarium alongside Kew’s research leaders and Taiwanese interns. The interns expressed their appreciation for the government’s efforts in creating this valuable opportunity. Ambassador Yao encouraged them to make the most of their time in the UK, learn from the experience, and contribute to stronger Taiwan-UK cooperation in green technology, plant and ecological research, and youth exchange. 🤝
