Digital Literacy: Skills for Everyday Digital Literacy

This is a FREE GCDA Adult Learning course.

Whether you're new to technology or looking to build your confidence, this practical and friendly course will help you develop essential digital skills for work, learning and everyday life.

You'll learn how to get up and running with digital devices, navigate the online world safely, understand your digital footprint, and choose the right digital tools for different tasks. We'll explore topics such as online safety, internet searching, communication tools, apps, passwords, privacy settings, and accessing services online.

By the end of the course, you'll feel more confident using technology, staying safe online, and making the most of the digital opportunities available to you.

Topics include:
Getting up and running with digital devices
Staying safe and secure online
Understanding your digital footprint
Finding reliable information online
Choosing the right digital tool for the job
Communicating and collaborating online
Accessing services and opportunities digitally

🎃 This weekend it's the Steampunk Spooktacular at Crossness Pumping Station.

The Grade I-listed 'cathedral of sewage’ is giving it's regular steaming days a Halloween twist.

The historic Prince Consort steam engine will be in action on both days, along with three other Victorian beam engines. Enjoy a children’s scavenger hunt, steampunk costumes and characters, plus craft and curiosity stalls.

Family activities include competitive biscuit-eating and cuddly toy-slinging contests!
