🌸 East and South East Asian (ESEA) Heritage Month 2026 🌸

This September, besea.n (Britain’s East and Southeast Asian Network) are celebrating the rich heritage, culture and history of East and South East Asian communities in the UK.

The theme for ESEA Heritage Month 2026 is “Evolving Threads”, highlighting the ways in which ESEA communities preserve cultural heritage, adapt to change and build connections across generations and borders.

To help families discover East and South East Asian Heritage Month through stories and fascinating non-fiction, our librarians have created a special collection of child-friendly eBooks and eAudiobooks on Libby: https://tlc.overdrive.com/llc-lewisham/content/collection/1831846.

You can also explore other stories from ESEA communities on through our Digital Library: https://visionrcl.org.uk/libraries/digital-library/read-and-listen/
