Last week, the Eccles Centre ventured to the British Library's Boston Spa site in North Yorkshire where we delivered a session training postgraduates and 3rd year undergraduates on use of the Library's North Americas collections. We had a wonderful turn out of 50 students from over 8 universities, and we hope to be revisiting this training session again in 2017. The Americas Team and the Eccles Centre for American Studies joined forces for a special training session on resources for American Studies at the British Library at Boston Spa.

Next Tuesday 25th October, we welcome Robin Reineke to the Eccles Centre. Robin is a founder member of the Colibri Centre for Human Rights which is an Arizona based organisation working to end migrant death and provide advocacy for the families of missing migrants. 'The Missing Migrant Project' works with medical examiners, forensic scientists, and families to help identify the dead and reunite their remains with their families.

Robin will be in conversation with Patrick Kingsley, The Guardian's first migiration correspondent who has published a book on the European migration crisis. They will reflect on the role of geography and harsh terrains on migration.
