This largely bike-powered music and arts festival will provide 12 hours of entertainment in heart of Nunhead on Sunday 2nd September. People are invited to come along, join in the party and get involved. There’s plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy: create your own print, make a film, produce some art, do some shopping in the market, go on a local history walk, enjoy some roaming the
atre performances, listen to live music, watch films, listen to some stories, pedal-power a sound-system or cinema come nightfall, play musical bingo, win prizes and even play out your three favourite music tracks to the crowd with the ‘Stick it on’ sessions. Nunhead Green will provide the base for the days activities but there will be opportunities to explore some of the surrounding buildings and roads as the library and Salvation Army open their doors for the day. Local pubs The Old Nun’s Head and The Pyrotechnics Arms will be welcoming people in too! The surrounding roads will be closed to vehicles for the day so visitors can really take over the space. The fun kicks off at 11.00am with a film screening for kids in the library (possibly with an elephant theme!) and ends with a nun related film classic on the Electric Pedals and Free Film Festival cycle-powered cinema system from 8.30pm at the top of Gordon Road. Can you see what they’ve done there? Bring your bikes, blankets and a picnic or a flask!
