Reform Restore Respect

Reform Restore Respect We are a charity in the field of youth crime and early intervention in Kent. Our target is 2,000+ young people each school year in Kent & Medway schools.

With our excellent reputation of using reformed ex-offenders as presenters of some of our Crime Diversion workshops, we market our services on a partial fee-paying basis, providing us with future financial stability as well as bolstering our reserves.

đź’ˇ Empowering the next generation to make positive choices!

Our founder, Francis, had the absolute privilege of delivering our Reform Restore Respect workshop to the fantastic Year 6 pupils at Leigh Academy Dartford. The energy in the room was incredible.

Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking activities, these young minds explored crucial topics:

- Navigating peer pressure effectively

- Understanding the consequences of crime

- The power of positive decision-making

- Critically evaluating social media and influencer impact

The maturity, curiosity, and confidence shown by the students was truly inspiring. They connected our workshop directly to their PSHE learning, showing a deep understanding of standing up for what is right.

Thank you to the staff and pupils at Leigh Academy Dartford for welcoming us so warmly. It is moments like these that drive our mission forward.

A Full-Circle Moment for Reform Restore Respect Charity

As an early intervention charity, we often talk about "soft outcomes", the vital but hard-to-measure shifts in a young person’s mindset. It’s rare to see that circle close so perfectly as it did this morning.

Eight years ago, our founder, Francis O., delivered an anti-crime assembly at a secondary school in Maidstone. One student in that audience was Ethan Kerr. Francis’s story about the realities of gang life didn't just resonate; it changed Ethan's trajectory.

Today, Ethan and Francis reconnected at Kent Police College whilst Francis was training Ethan and his Police colleagues this morning. Ethan is now training to become a police officer with Kent Police, and they met again during his Gangs and County Lines session. We are incredibly proud of Ethan and reminded that a single conversation really can change a life.

A brilliant start to the new Kent school term 5 with a visit to Valley Invicta Primary School at Aylesford. Their Year 6 cohort took part in a powerful transitional anti‑crime assembly, exploring choices, consequences and the importance of staying focused on their future goals as they prepare for secondary school.
It was inspiring to see such thoughtful engagement from the pupils as they reflected on the paths they want to take and the positive decisions that will help them get there. A fantastic way to begin the term with purpose and ambition.

Year 6 were lucky enough to be joined by Francis Osei-Appiah for an inspiring talk about Reform, Restore, Respect. Pupils listened thoughtfully and reflected on how these values link to their own choices, behaviour and role within the school community. A valuable and thought-provoking experience for all.

A powerful day of early intervention and community partnership at Archbishop of Courtenay Primary School.

Today, Reform Restore Respect Charity had the privilege of delivering our transitional anti-crime talk to the Year 6 pupils at Archbishop of Courtenay Primary School, an important moment in helping young people navigate the move to secondary school with confidence, awareness, and positive choices.

We were exceptionally honoured to welcome Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, Lady Colgrain, and The High Sheriff of Kent to the school for this special assembly. Their presence underscored the shared commitment across our county to safeguarding children and investing in early intervention and preventative, educational approaches.
Our sincere thanks also go to D/Chief Supt Shaun White of Kent Police, whose support and partnership continue to strengthen the impact of our work. Reform Restore Respect felt truly supported by all three leaders, each bringing their own dedication to community safety and early intervention.

Seeing the enthusiasm and engagement of the Year 6 pupils today was so inspiring. When schools, community leaders, and organisations come together, we create the strongest possible foundation for young people to thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to Archbishop of Courtenay Primary School for welcoming us so warmly and to everyone who continues to champion positive futures for children across Kent.

School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST) has been a partner school since 2020, and we value the trust they place in us to support their safeguarding and early‑intervention work. Our sessions draw on Francis lived experience growing up on the Broadwater Farm Estate and the consequences of the choices he made as a teen.

Through Reform Restore Respect Charity, our aim is to provide young people with honest, preventative education that helps them recognise risk, challenge harmful narratives, and make safer decisions. The engagement and maturity shown by SST’s students demonstrate just how vital this work is. We look forward to visiting this school community again next academic year.

A Remarkable Day at Chilmington Green School

Today was truly special.

We had the honour of delivering our Reform, Restore, Respect Anti-Crime Early Intervention Workshop to 185 Year 7 students at the newly built Chilmington Green School campus, a stunning facility filled with vibrant classrooms, state-of-the-art resources, and the beginnings of a beautiful art theatre. The energy and engagement from the students were inspiring with inundated questions.

What made today unforgettable? For the first time ever, we received a formal feedback letter hand-delivered to us while still on school site. Miss Rebecca Wood, Vice Principal, expressed heartfelt appreciation for our presentation and the impact it had on their new cohort. Her words reaffirm the importance of our mission and the value of consistent collaboration with schools like Chilmington Green. We quote a snippet from the feedback letter:

“Your expertise and perspective provided tremendous value… we truly appreciate the knowledge you shared with our new Year 7 Cohort.”

We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this community and look forward to receiving the students’ completed questionnaires next week. Thank you to the staff for the warm welcome, school lunch and the tour of your incredible new space.

Here’s to many more moments of impact, growth, and shared purpose.

🌟 Gratitude from Edenbridge Primary 🌟

We’re proud to share this heartfelt feedback from Edenbridge Primary School following our recent Year 6 anti-crime transitional workshop.

Delivered with care, energy, and age-appropriate insight, our session sparked meaningful reflection and discussion among pupils and staff alike. Real-life examples helped bring the message home, and we’re thrilled to hear that both children and educators found the experience inspiring and impactful.

Here’s a snippet from their letter:

“The workshop was delivered in a way that was accessible, interactive, and age-appropriate… Staff were impressed by how confidently and sensitively these topics were handled.”

Thank you to the Edenbridge Primary School team for your kind words and for welcoming us so warmly every year. We’re committed to supporting young people in making positive choices, and we look forward to working with you again in 2026.

School’s out for the festive season and we’re taking a well earned breather too!

It’s been a full and meaningful term. Between 24 September and 12 December, we visited 11 schools and delivered our award‑winning anti‑crime assembly to 874 amazing children and young people.

We’ve loved reading the feedback from teachers, headteachers, and the young people themselves. Their words remind us why we do what we do.

Thank you to every school that opened their doors to us. We’re proud of the impact we’ve made together, and we can’t wait to pick things back up in the New Year.
