Please don't swim in our lakes ❌

Yes, we know they look lovely and some people like to enjoy open water swimming but this is not the place to do it. Our lakes have an industrial past which has left old machinery and cables beneath the surface.

Along with sudden drops which you can't see and low water quality make them unsafe for swimming. Please read our water safety information
