We were delighted to take Cabinet Member Cllr Cameron on a walkabout of Acre Lane to discuss the growing number of empty shops which often attract anti-social behaviour. At full council we asked that the council use our brand new powers given to us from the Labour Government to auction off their leases. This helps our local economy, supports small businesses and improves our community.

Councillor Bridson called on Lambeth at full council to work with the Labour Government to maximise our powers to revive our high streets, after 14 years of Tory and Liberal Democrat austerity.

👉 Next ‘door to door’ surgery is 1 Feb at 11am, Effra Court & Brixton Hill Court.

👉 Then ‘sit down’ surgery is 17 Feb at 6pm, Lambeth Town Hall.

👉 Then ‘door to door’ surgery is 1 March at 11am, Sudbourne Rd.
