🤗Hello September! We're all back to school, back to work, and settling in to autumn.

⭐ROA is delighted to announce we're launching Vision Redbridge's Black History Month 2026 celebrations with Go Grandad, Go! by Company DHW.

🩵Go Grandad, Go! is a heart warming inter-generational family story embedded in love. This relatable Hip-Hop theatre dance show inspires the young and empowers the… not so young.

⭐Coming to Barkingside on Saturday 26 September, and Ilford on Sunday 27 September, with four performances over one weekend.

📚 We love working in partnership with our libraries during our outdoor shows and were incredibly excited to discover that the Stopgap Dance Company team were keen readers!

After their incredible performances of Ro-Tes, to celebrate the , they very kindly stopped by Redbridge Central Library to grab a library card and share their favourite children’s books with us!

🌟Last weekend, Ro-Tes by Stopgap Dance Company came to Barkingside and Ilford! ❤️💛🧡🩵💚💜💙🩷

After an inspiring and creative Friday afternoon at Fullwell Cross Library with a meet and greet (see our previous post) they performed in Ken Aston Square and Ilford High Road.

🫶🏾 A huge ‘THANK YOU' to Stopgap Dance Company dancers and crew for their energy, talent and next-level accessibility resources. Thank you Barkingside Art Club and Creative Ambassadors, Arts Award crew, Redbridge Cycling Campaign’s Fix-Your-Bike volunteers, our growing team of amazing volunteers and stewards, Redbridge Libraries and facilities staff at Fullwell Cross, Central and Fullwell Cross Leisure centre, The face painters, everyone who shared and supported the event, Redbridge Council , those who completed a survey, our funders Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure and Without Walls UK !❤️🧡💚💛🩷💜💙🩵

⭐It’s almost showtime!

💫We wanted to share this amazing image from Ro-Tes, captured at MCRxLaMerce festival in Barcelona. Being members of the Without Walls UK network means that we can bring you world-class performances like this and we are super proud to bring them to Redbridge!

⚪️1pm and 3pm shows on Sunday 23rd August will be BSL interpreted
⚪️There will be a Touch Tour as part of each performance
⚪️Pre-recorded Audio Description embedded into the soundtrack
⚪️Audio Flyer, Audio Introduction, Audio Introduction Script and Easy Read Visual Story available on our website https://vrcl.uk/ROA-Ro-Tes

Outdoor Arts programme celebrating Disability Arts this weekend, we are starting early with a familiarisation
afternoon at Fullwell Cross Library.

🖌Come and draw, paint, create and meet the cast of Ro-Tes!

🎨 Join artist and art educator Eliyah, Barkingside Art Club's Creative Ambassadors and Spectrum Studio for
Every Mark Matters, an inclusive Big Draw celebration for SEND children and their families.

🎪Register at the Imagination Station in the library foyer and collect stamps for activities on Friday and at the
performances of Ro-Tes on Saturday.

🌿🚏Both venues, Ken Aston Square (outside Fullwell Cross Library) and Ilford Town Centre, are short distance from bus stops, which is great for the environment if you can leave the car at home! 🚏🌿

🚲If you are cycling to the show on Saturday 22 August, visit Fix-Your-Bike by the Redbridge Cycling Campaign volunteers. They will be under the arches too 🚲

🎨Our wonderful partners Barkingside Art Club are back with Accessible and Inclusive pop-up outdoor arts hub on Saturday 22 August.

👨🏽‍🎨Creative Ambassadors and Spectrum Studio young artists will be there with stalls, Artwork shop and Spectrum Studio Collaborative Area.
