Primrose Hill Community Library, North London. Primrose Hill Community Library is a public library open to everyone.

On Saturday 31 March 2012, Chalk Farm Library sadly closed its doors for the last time after a long battle to save our much loved local library. On Saturday 28 April, we re-opened as the Primrose Hill Community Library. We have been inspired by the strength and spirit of the community backing our efforts – thanks to over 200 residents volunteering their time and 494 financial pledges totalling £5

93,000 we have taken over the building from Camden Council on a 20 year lease. We’re excited about the future for the Primrose Hill Community Library but we all need to pull together to make it an inclusive, vibrant community space we can be proud of.

Dr Michael Montemurro will talk about GIST (Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumour) at the Library.

Once a largely untreatable cancer, GSIT became one of the first great success stories of precision medicine and a model for understanding how cancer works and how “magic bullet” treatments can change lives.

Dr Michael Montemurro works with the Sarcoma Team at University College London Hospitals (UCLH), is Chair of Medical Oncology at the Genolier Cancer Centre in Switzerland, and is a co-author of the European GIST Guidelines and co-founder of GIST Group Switzerland

Tristan is a London-based singer. With a singing career jump started by musical theatre and a brief stint as a wedding singer, Tristan is currently the frontman of London hard rock outfit Ugly Yeti. Whether it’s through rock n’ roll ragers or scaled back heartfelt numbers, Tristan’s one goal is to make sure everyone leaves a gig happier than they were when they came in.

The library will be closed for the summer on Saturday 15th August, and then from Saturday 22 August until Tuesday 1 September. We’ll reopen on Wednesday 2 September
