Normanton Street Friday Playgroup Normanton Street Playgroup is a friendly group run by local volunteers for children under-5 and their carers. It runs on Fridays during term-time only.

Normanton Street Playgroup runs most Fridays during school term-time and is only made possible by the support from a group of local parent volunteers. It costs just £1 per child to come and play with a variety of toys, including a snack and drink for children and their carers. There are usually organised craft activities and a sing-song. We try to have a soft-play session at least once a month. On

these weeks the entry fee is £3. We have also introduced a music session once a month, when Lily from Hit the Ground Drumming comes along after the usual snack time to help us make some noise! The fee on these sessions is £2.50. (Please note: There used to be a *different* playgroup held at this location on Mondays which was organised by the NCT, but is no longer running.) If you would like to join the volunteer group, please get in touch! We need you!

Our Story

Normanton Street Playgroup runs most Fridays during term time and is only made possible by the support from a group of local parent volunteers.

It costs just £1.50 per child to come and play with a variety of toys, puzzles and books. We provide a drink and snack for the children and tea or coffee and a biscuit for the adults. There are usually organised craft activities and a sing song.

We try to have a monthly soft play session (£3.50) and a monthly music session with Lily from Hit the Ground Drumming (£2.50).

We rely on the help of all of those attending to keep the group running smoothly by tidying away after snack time and helping to put the toys away at the end of the session. If youwould like to volunteer to help witht he running of the group, please get in touch!
