Conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects, we are centrally located in the heart of the capital, gracefully rotating over the River Thames opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. At 135m, the London Eye is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel; a feat of design and engineering it has become the modern symbol representing the capital and a global icon. The experience s

The London Eye will illuminate in red, white, and blue on May 8th to mark VE Day's 80th anniversary. The patriotic light-up symbolises the nation's gratitude and remembrance of those who served and sacrificed during World War II ❤️

In remembrance of Stephen Lawrence, the London Eye will shine orange on Wednesday, 22nd April. 🧡

Stephen Lawrence Day marks 33 years since his tragic death. It’s a moment to reflect, and to continue the work of building a more inclusive society- creating opportunities and supporting marginalised young people across the UK.

Tonight, the London Eye will shine in the vibrant Sikh colours of blue and orange in celebration of Vaisakhi.💙🧡

Vaisakhi is one of the most significant dates in the Sikh calendar. It marks the beginning of the Punjabi New Year and commemorates the founding of the Khalsa in 1699; a defining moment in Sikh history when the faith was established as a unified community.

As an iconic symbol of London and its people, the London Eye is proud to honour the city’s rich diversity through special light displays throughout the year.

Wishing everyone celebrating a joyful and meaningful Vaisakhi ✨
