We would like take this opportunity to introduce the newly formed the British Egyptian Alumni Society (BEAS) (جمعية المصريين خريجي الجامعات البريطانية). ” BEAS “was founded by a small group of graduates from British univer
sities with the aim of acting as a platform for this community. BEAS is an independent, professional, non-political, private, non-religious and not-for-profit organisation with the primary goal of building a community for Egyptians who are graduates of British universities. The mission of BEAS is to enable Egyptians who graduated from British universities to connect with each other, share experiences, exchange ideas and knowledge, get career support, share memories and stories, and stay in the loop with what is happening in the British universities. It is part of the vision of BEAS to rely on the enthusiasm of its members and their contribution towards keeping the society unique and promoting its high-quality events. Additionally, BEAS plans to hold regular meetings, lectures, debates and educational/social events in Egypt and the UK in support of its aims. وذلك وفقا للإجراءات والموافقات المطلوبة من الجهات البريطانية الرسمية المختصة، وتهدف الجمعية الى خدمة احتياجات اعضائها من خلال القيام بالنشاطات الثقافية والاجتماعية المختلفة بالإضافة الى توثيق وتوطيد العلاقات بين اعضاء الجمعية والمؤسسات التعليمية المختلفة الذين انهوا دراستهم منها والعمل على استمراريتها للإسهام في نمو حركة التطوير والتنمية في المجتمع المصري. ستقوم الجمعية ايضا بتقديم النصح والمشورة لأصدقاء الجمعية الذين يرغبون في الدراسة في بريطانيا وذلك على ضوء الخبرة والدراية المتوفرة لدى القائمين عليها. كما وتهدف الجمعية الى تدعيم اواصر الصداقة والتعاون بينها وبين الهيئات المماثلة لها في الاهداف داخل مصر والمملكة المتحدة، والمساهمة في النشاطات التي من شأنها رفع مستوى التفاهم الثقافي الى المستويين الفردي والمجتمعي بين المجتمعين.
وقد تم تكوين اول مجلس اداري للجمعية لتتكون من: البروفسور/ احمد عابدين(رئيسا)، دكتور مهندس / إسماعيل غيتة (الرئيس التنفيذي)، المستشار الدكتور/ شريف العربي (نائبا)، الدكتور جمال ابراهيم (أمينا للصندوق)، وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة / الدكتورة نجلاء مدبولي والدكتور محمد خاطر والدكتورة سها البطراوي
باب العضوية مفتوح للحاصلين على شهادة جامعية او ما يعادلها من بريطانيا بعد توفر شروط العضوية ودفع الرسوم المحددة
وتجدر الاشارة بان المقر المؤقت للجمعية حاليا في مصر- ٢٩ شارع رفاعة – القاهرة
