Barnet Welfare Reform The Barnet Welfare Reform Task Force is here to help Barnet residents affected by the benefit cap and other welfare changes

We are a multi-agency team working together in one location. The team has staff from -
- Barnet Homes who offer housing and welfare benefits advice
- DWP Work Coaches who support clients into employment
- LB Barnet/Capita Discretionary Housing Payments team with additional expertise on Council Tax support and Crisis Fund
- Future Path who provide 121 motivational coaching and practical assistance to get people into work

More than 1800 households in Barnet have been helped by the team since 2013. 1 in 3 clients have found work. 1 in 10 have moved to more affordable homes. 1 in 7 have switched to more appropriate benefits.
