**Consistency… the least glamorous part of building a business!**

Everyone wants the results…

✈️ The freedom
🏆 The recognition
📱 The messages saying “I’m so glad I joined!”

But nobody talks about the bit in between… 😂

Showing up when you’re motivated.
Showing up when you’re NOT motivated.
Posting when your last post got 3 likes.
Following up when people leave you on “seen” 👀
Talking to people when Netflix is calling your name! 📺😂

Because in the Utility Warehouse business, it’s not about doing something HUGE once.

It’s about doing the **small things consistently**.

One conversation.

😂 The 4 A’s I’m learning to control…
ATTITUDE 😏 I can’t control what people do, but I can control whether I respond like a calm adult… or audition for a reality TV show. 😂
ACTIONS 🏃‍♀️ Pause before reacting. Think before speaking. And definitely don’t send that message when you’re angry and convinced you’ve just written the perfect comeback! 🤦‍♀️😂
ANXIETY 🧠 My brain: “Let’s worry about 17 things that haven’t happened yet.” Me: “Could we NOT?” 😂
ANGER 🔥 Because sometimes the reaction feels justified… but regretting what you said 10 minutes later isn’t exactly a winning strategy! 😬
I’m learning that I don’t have to control everything around me.
I just need to control my attitude, my actions, my anxiety and my anger.
Some days I absolutely smash it. 💪 Other days… I need coffee, silence and a serious word with myself. ☕😂
Control what you can. Let go of what you can’t. And remember — not every thought deserves a reaction. 💜

Energy Prices Are Going Up Again — So What Does It Mean For You?

Well, unfortunately, there isn’t much good news when it comes to energy prices.
Ofgem has announced that from 1st October, the energy price cap is going up again by around 3.6%.

And this is on top of the big rise we already had in July, so energy prices will be nearly 17% higher than they were back in April.
The rates do vary depending on where you live and how much energy you use.

There is one little bit of good news though. From 1st October, the Government is removing the 5% VAT on domestic electricity for six months.

That will help bring the increase down a little, but unfortunately it doesn’t completely cancel it out.

And remember, this price cap only applies if you’re on a standard variable tariff. If you’re already on a fixed tariff, your fixed rates won’t suddenly change because of the October price cap.

So why are prices going up?

A big part of this is the increase in wholesale energy prices, which have been affected by the situation in the Middle East.

Ofgem looks at wholesale prices over a period of time when setting the price cap, and unfortunately those prices have been high.

And there are already predictions that prices could rise again in January.

So what should you do?

If you’re still sitting on a standard variable tariff, now is definitely a good time to check what you’re paying..
If your with Utility Warehouse and your on a variable still give our customer service a ring and we will change you over

Don’t just assume that because you’ve been with the same supplier for years you’re getting the best deal..
And don’t forget, it’s not just about the price of your gas and electricity. Looking at your whole household package could potentially make a much bigger difference.
