An immersive horror attraction from Ireland is coming to the University of Greenwich’s old Mansion site in Eltham, nearly a year after plans to build a school there were scrapped.

Good to help refresh the planters in New Eltham earlier today.

Well done to Geraldine who does a fantastic job looking after the three planters outside Coop. The planters really do brighten up the village!

Residents near the Greenwich Builds site on Westmount Road should have received this letter over the last few weeks.

We’ve been told the work should be completed in 18-21 months, but given previous issues with Greenwich Build sites, we’ll monitor this and will keep residents up to date with any issues.

It was great to see so many New Eltham residents at the 30th anniversary celebration of CANE.

The three of us were out and about in the ward today.

Charlie attended the Macmillan Coffee Morning at Eltham Park Baptist Church, and all three of us dropped into the St James Church Harvest Festival.

It’s great to see so many events going on in the community!

🚧 Footscray Road update

We’ve been chasing for an update on the continued Thames Water works and road closure.

The repair itself is now complete, with final reinstatement works underway. The works have significantly overrun and Thames Water are now subject to daily overrun charges.

The latest expectation is that the road should reopen within the next 3–4 days, subject to any unforeseen issues.

We’re also awaiting an update from Thames Water on the medium-term measures they intend to take to address the recurring issues locally and will keep residents updated.

We could be getting closer to having some idea on the future of the Tramsheds on the High Street, with Greenwich Council announcing that they are included in an auction on the 10th September.

Bizarrely, the three Tramsheds are being sold separately which does give us some concern about the future of the sites, but we are optimistic that, unlike the Council, any new owner will make the much needed investment in the buildings to restore the buildings and bring them back into use.
