💛 They might look like one big flower, but each sunflower is actually made up of hundreds of tiny flowers called 'florets'

💛 Sunflowers are nature's detoxifiers, they can remove toxic elements from soils, like lead and uranium and have been used in clean-up operations at both Chernobyl and Fukushima

💛 It's widely believed they follow the sun but only immature buds move east to west, mature flowers always face east

🌎 Tomatoes originate from South America and were introduced to Europe by Spanish colonists in the 16th century

🌿 As members of the nightshade family (Solanaceae), tomatoes were thought to be poisonous in Europe and were grown as ornamental plants

🍓 Tomatoes are botanically berries and considered fruits, but were classified as vegetables by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1893 for tax purposes
