Last week, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla for a State Visit 🇺🇸🇬🇧, including a military parade and formal welcome speech from the President at the White House. The First Lady and Her Majesty The Queen met with students in an innovative cross-cultural educational program using artificial intelligence and virtual reality. His Majesty The King gave a speech to a joint session of the U.S. Congress, followed by the State Dinner which the President and First Lady hosted in the East Room of the White House.
Their Majesties The King and The Queen then visited New York, paying their respects at the 9/11 Memorial, and highlighted the importance of literacy for all ages in an event at the New York Public Library.
The President and First Lady bid a formal farewell to Their Majesties at the White House, reaffirming the strength and continued collaboration of our 🇺🇸🇬🇧 partnership. The King and The Queen also visited Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, honoring those who have given their lives in service. U.S. Interior Secretary Burgrum welcomed The King to Shenandoah National Park to see the beauty of America’s Parks.
