ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to announce our Reform UK candidates for the Town Centre ward for the St Helens Borough local elections on the 7th of May 2026.
Jeremy Axworthy and Andrew Feeney are honoured and privileged to stand to represent the people of St Helens.
St Helens Council is broken. Under Labour, we’ve accumulated £157 million in debt, for which we pay over £100,000 in interest every single week. Working people’s hard-earned council tax is spent on wasteful schemes and woke rubbish, which drives taxes up for all of us. Our roads are crumbling, crime is rampant across our borough, and our town centre has never looked so neglected.
We are here to fix that.
A Reform UK controlled St Helens Council will:
- Clamp down on Keir Starmer’s use of “Housing of Multiple Occupancy” (HMOs) that Labour use to house illegal migrants in our communities and near our children's schools. We will trigger Article 4 to force all HMOs to go through the planning system, where they can be objected to and refused.
- Scrap Labour’s mad net-zero initiatives which drive up our council tax yet make zero difference to the climate. Focus should be on proper ecological issues like flood defences and protecting our green belt from Labour’s endless house building.
- Eliminate the culture of “Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion” (DEI) that Labour use to discriminate against white working class Brits in St Helens. We shall instead hire based on merit alone.
Across the Town Centre ward, our priorities shall include:
- Lack of affordable housing
- Unemployment
- Affordable and free parking
Our candidates for Town Centre ward are real, genuine residents - not career politicians. We shall be visible, approachable, and active in our communities - because you deserve better.
You’ll be hearing much more from our candidates in the coming days and weeks. If you see us out door-knocking, then please feel free to say hello and tell us your concerns. We’re here to help.
In the meantime, please enjoy a preview of our new leaflet and see our candidate introductory bios below:
Britain needs Reform. St Helens Borough needs Reform.
On the 7th of May, help us take back our borough.
