🎯 Eyes on the target!

The Regiment recently took to the clay ground for a day of clay pigeon shooting.

While our focus is firmly on our core weapon systems, training isn’t limited to the equipment we use day-to-day. Activities like this help develop concentration, discipline, coordination and the ability to perform under pressure, all valuable skills both on and off the range.

A great opportunity for the team to get together, test their skills and enjoy some friendly competition. πŸ’ͺ🎯

Challenge Complete. πŸ”οΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

The final ascent of Snowdon is done, bringing an unforgettable Three Peaks to a close.

Over the last few days, our team of eight has battled relentless wind, rain, fatigue, sore legs and little sleep, but every single person showed incredible determination, resilience and teamwork from the first step to the last. Together the team conquered Ben Nevis, Scafell and finally Snowdon.

We're incredibly proud to have completed this challenge, but even prouder that we raised Β£1,120 for Blesma The Limbless Veterans, helping to support serving and former members of the Armed Forces who have experienced life changing limb loss or the loss of the use of a limb.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, encouraged the team and followed the journey. Your support kept them going when the going got tough.
Three mountains. Hundreds of kilometres travelled. One amazing team. One incredible cause.

Still time to donate, no matter how big or small - https://gofund.me/f130849dd

Scafell βœ”οΈ

After a well earned rest, the team headed out overnight to complete the next stage of the challenge. Climbing in the darkness brought a whole new test navigating rough terrain, battling fatigue, and keeping spirits high but every one of them dug deep and got it done.

Another summit reached, another challenge overcome. The team continues to show incredible determination, resilience, and support for one another.

One mountain left, we're coming for you. πŸ”οΈπŸ’ͺ

A little update on 295 Battery's challenging mountain climb, raising a massive Β£2120 πŸ‘

All eight of the team made the summit of Ben Nevis despite some seriously challenging conditions. πŸŒ§οΈπŸ’¨ The wind and rain tested our resilience every step of the way, but the team dug deep, kept pushing, and made it together.

A few aches and niggles, but nothing that will stop them. Now it's time for some well-earned rest before they take on Scafell the second highest peak in England. πŸ”οΈπŸ’ͺ

Seven soldiers, 37 kilometres, 25kg each. Seven dedicated soldiers from 295 (HY) Battery are taking on an extraordinary endurance challenge: summiting the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales while carrying the full weight of a British Army Combat Equipment Marching Order around 25kg (55lbs) each.

These Army Reserve soldiers already juggle demanding civilian careers, family life, and military responsibilities. They regularly give up evenings and weekends to train to the same high standards as their full-time counterparts. Now, they are sacrificing yet another weekend time they could spend with loved ones to push themselves through this physically and mentally demanding test.

Importantly, every participant is volunteering their time. None will receive pay for undertaking this challenge.

Funds raised will be split between Blesma, the only national Armed Forces Charity that supports limbless veterans for the duration of their lives & The Royal Artillery Charitable Fund, helping our serving or veteran Gunners and their dependants when they are struggling to find funding for essential needs..

If you’re able to support, your contribution no matter the size will make a meaningful difference and be greatly appreciated, especially during these challenging times.

Seven dedicated soldiers from 295 (HY) Battery are taking on an incredible endurance challenge: climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales while carrying a full British Army Combat Equipment Marching Order (around 25kg/55lbs).

Taking on this challenge unpaid and in their own time, they're raising funds for Blesma, supporting limbless veterans, and the Royal Artillery Charitable Fund.

If you're able to support, any donationβ€”big or smallβ€”will make a real difference and be hugely appreciated.
