A huge thank you to our fantastic classroom assistants for making sensory circuits throughout the year such a success. From setting up activities to encouraging participation and keeping everything running smoothly we truly couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for everything you do!

Primary 6 had a fantastic end of year trip to W5, Belfast today. They enjoyed all the fun activities and were so well behaved. I look forward to many more trips with them next year. A few movie stars among them!

🏆 Derry Cup 2026 🏆

A huge well done to our Primary 4 and Primary 5 boys who represented the school at the Derry Cup today.

Despite competing against teams made up mainly of Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils, our boys showed incredible determination, courage, and team spirit throughout the day. They never stopped working, supported one another from start to finish, and gave absolutely everything in every match.

Today was about much more than results as it was about gaining experience, learning, growing in confidence, and laying the foundations for the future. This is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey for this talented group of young players.

The future is bright, and we can't wait to see what this group achieves together in the years ahead.

Mrs. Joshi and her Bollywood Dance Club delighted our school community today with a vibrant showcase routine they had been practising all year in their after-school club. Their enthusiasm shone through every step, and the colourful costumes added to the excitement and authenticity of the performance. It was a joyful celebration, with all pupils and staff joining in at the end, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.

We’re delighted to share that St. Eugene’s PS has achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag once again!

This award came from the fantastic team effort by our pupils and staff to make sustainability part of school life. We are so proud of this brilliant achievement!

Sports Day Update
We are hoping to hold Sports Day in Brooke Park on Tuesday 23rd June. Classes will make their way there from 9.30am. We will keep you informed of any changes due to the weather.

Well done to our P7 Barry who had a great match at the half-time games in Derry v Meath All Ireland Senior Football Championship. The match took place on Saturday at Celtic Park.
