🍎🧪 **Exploding Apples!** 🧪🍎

As part of P1 Halloween fun, the class used apples, vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and food colouring to create some exciting exploding apples! The fizzing, bubbling reactions were great fun to watch and helped the children learn about science in a hands-on and memorable way! 🎃🔬👻

Our girl's took part in a football tournament today in Brooke Park, displaying great skill, teamwork and determination. The girls were a credit to the school, showing excellent sportsmanship and resilience when playing against Rosemount PS and St. Anne's PS. Well done to all involved on a wonderful achievement and for representing St Eugene's so proudly! ⚽⭐

School Update for Parents

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to reassure families that we have been informed of a threat that has been made towards a number of schools. This matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness and is currently being investigated by the PSNI and the Education Authority.

We are in regular contact with the relevant authorities and are following all advice and guidance provided. We have been assured that there is currently no specific information relating directly to our school.

The safety, wellbeing and security of our pupils and staff remain our highest priority. School remains open as normal, and all safeguarding and security procedures are fully in place. Our staff continue to work closely with the appropriate agencies to ensure that the school environment remains safe and secure for all children.

We understand that news of this nature may cause concern and anxiety. Please be assured that, should there be any change to the current situation, we will communicate with parents immediately through our usual channels.

If, during this period, you would prefer to collect your child, you are welcome to do so. We simply ask that you report to the school office on arrival, where a member of staff will be happy to assist you.

We kindly ask parents to avoid speculation on social media and instead rely on updates issued by the PSNI, the Education Authority and the school. Sharing unverified information can cause unnecessary worry for children and families.

Thank you for your continued support, understanding and cooperation. By working together and following the advice of the relevant authorities, we can help ensure a calm, safe and reassuring environment for all our pupils.

P3 visit the Model to Buddy Up. Primary 3 enjoyed a brilliant afternoon getting to know pupils from the Model. Everyone took part in fun ice‑breaker activities, simple games, and lively songs to help the children feel relaxed and confident. Each pupil also met their buddy, beginning a positive connection that will continue throughout the year. It was a lovely opportunity for pupils to build friendships, practise social skills, and settle into their buddy partnership.
