Power banks and portable chargers can be a real lifesaver—but like any electrical device, they need to be used safely. Take a moment to brush up on a few simple tips to keep your devices (and yourself) protected 👇

âś… Charge in a well-ventilated space, and never charge your devices under a pillow or on your bed where they can potentially overheat
✅ Don’t leave a battery on prolonged charge when not in use
âś… Keep away from heat, water, and direct sunlight
âś… Use correct cables and supervise children.

Avoid risks by remembering:
❌ Don’t overcharge or leave charging unattended/overnight
❌ Don’t expose to extreme temperatures
❌ Don’t carry loose with keys or coins
❌ Don’t drop, cover, or attempt repairs

⚠️ If a battery leaks, avoid contact and seek medical advice.

Power banks & portable chargers will keep you from getting stranded when you’re on the go and without a convenient charging source. Read our advice on using them safely.

❓Have you ever thought about how much your belongings are worth? If the unexpected happened today, would you be covered if they were damaged?

👉Home contents insurance helps protect the things that make your place feel like home—from everyday essentials such as furniture, clothing and white goods, to irreplaceable belongings of sentimental value.

🏠Home contents insurance is a simple way to avoid a big bill if something goes wrong. Some of the things covered by home contents insurance can include:

🚨Theft — cover if your belongings are stolen
🚒Fire — support to replace items after fire damage
⛓️‍💥Vandalism — help if your home contents are damaged on purpose
🌧️Floods — covers water damage, often due to severe weather conditions
🛋️Accidental damage — protection against dropping, breaking items, property damage (internal), and spills on furniture.

It's important to know the specific risks covered by your policy to make sure it meets your individual needs.
