Thank you to all members of our community, guests and dignitaries from our neighbouring towns who came to our Annual Parish Assembly and Annual Town Meeting last night. Town Mayor Cllr Stephen Re*****on was re-elected to serve for another year and Cllr Michala Powell was voted in as Deputy Mayor.

The Citizen of the Year Award was presented to Antony Scarah and Organisation of the Year was jointly awarded to Looe Primary Academy and Looe Community Academy. Former Mayor Tony Smith was made a Burgess. The Mayor also welcomed new Cadet Alfie and new Macebearers Bea and Lily.

The picture was taken before the ceremony and includes outgoing Macebearers Lee and Alfie and outgoing Deputy Mayor Cllr Jamie Pearn. The Mayor also gave thanks to outgoing Cadet Jago.

Looe’s Annual Parish Assembly, chaired by the Mayor and with Looe’s Cornwall Council and Town Councillors present, is on Tuesday 19 May at 6pm at the Millpool Centre, followed at 7pm by the Town Council’s Annual Meeting - then a free pasty feast!
The Parish Assembly is a chance for anyone to raise and discuss any subject about Looe. Why not come along and share what you’d like to be done in town to make things better for all?
Roads, transport, housing, planning, floods, drainage, health, shopping, parking, schools, security, shoplifting, vandalism, jobs, toilets, local services, business - plenty of topics to tackle.
So don’t just rely on Looe Moaners to vent your frustrations – join a live audience and tell them what you think!
