Last weekend the cadets took part in their bronze DofE practice expedition getting a feel for what kit to pack, what food they should bring, refresher on pitching a tent and cooking.

With this weeks Annual Camp cancelled due to operational reasons, Cadets and Staff from around South and East Midlands Wing Air Cadets were able to visit Royal Air Force Coningsby and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Official).

Many thanks to the Station for allowing our visit and to the Air Cadet Liaison Officer for arranging the section visits for us.

Cadets visited the BBMF, the Fire Section, Lincolnshire TACC (ATC), Typhoon Maintenance Facility, Armoury, Heritage Centre and then to top this off a visit to 41 Sqn for a walk around a Typhoon.

All Cadets and Staff had a fantastic Station visit, something that as the staff team, we wanted to ensure the cadets didn’t miss out on, following the cancellation of this weeks camp.

Great time was had by all.
