After 2 years, Labour has delivered a miserable compounded list of failure. Children who see no benefit in learning, businesses that are hounded by taxation and red tape, self employed who won’t grow because it is not worth it. Anyone who saved or invested regretting not spending everything. The answer? Devolve failure to mayors (we never wanted one) and reorganised local authorities. For Lincolnshire, this means an unsustainable Lincoln city (Labour) and a donut authority for the rest. Good god- time to clear them all out and have an election.

I don’t buy these brands because they still invest and trade in Russia. Companies Continuing Operations in Russia (2025–2026):
Consumer Goods & Food: PepsiCo (still operating, opening new plants in 2024/2025), Procter & Gamble, Mars, Nestle, Mondelēz International, Unilever, Ritter Sport.
Retail & Fashion: Metro AG, Calzedonia, Sephora, Crocs, Samsonite, Boggi.

In January 2025, our community faced the daunting prospect of an expanded nuclear waste facility taking a significant area of local farmland for a project that very few residents supported. That project is now dead. With house prices and sales increasing, there is a real sense of relief across the community. This shows what can be achieved when people come together — you did it. This community makes a difference.

Looking ahead, 2026 is likely to be another busy year in the Ward of Withern and Theddlethorpe. Proposals and issues around a power station, pylons, a pollution pipeline, a desalination plant and battery storage are all on the horizon. There will be plenty to work on, and I will continue to represent local views and interests throughout.
