Lowestoft Armed Forces Day 2026 is taking place in Sparrows Nest Gardens this Saturday 27 June and we are incredibly proud to be a major supporter of this event.

In 2019, Lowestoft Town Council signed the Armed Forces Day Covenant, recognising the value Service Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.

We hope that everyone who attends has a great day and stands with the Town Council in recognising the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces.

🌞 The hot weather is making us think about the Summer holidays 😎

Join us through the end of July and into August from a programme of FREE events and activities around Lowestoft for young people and families.

We have everything from Andy the Clown at Sparrows Nest Gardens on a Thursday, Alice in Wonderland performances at Fen Park on Wednesday 5th August and SEVEN different sports activities for you to get involved with. That means we have free activities and events available on nearly every day in August!

PLUS - there are plenty of other activities and things you can do in our parks for FREE!

🏳️‍🌈Lowestoft Pride is is coming to Sparrows Nest Gardens on Saturday 11 July and we have a fantastic line-up of entertainment throughout the day!

The entertainment begins at 12noon with 3hrs of fun, laughter and song hosted by Will Power and Knuckle Sandwich, following by performances from more of the best local drag artists. The event culminates in a tribute to the one-and-only Freddie Mercury! 🎤👩‍🎤🎹🎸🎶

First Light Lowestoft

We're looking forward to welcoming First Light Lowestoft to Kensington Gardens as part of the festival weekend!

Kensington Gardens will be hosting the Gardens Stage, exhibitions and local organisations stalls, including our own Lowestoft Town Hall Project.

Throughout the weekend, you'll also be able to book the free tennis courts and use the Box-Up locker in the Gardens for free sport equipment.

We're also delighted that the new bridge is now open and fully accessible. A lot of work has been undertaken by our team to ensure that all users of Kensington Gardens can use the new bridge with its new access ramps on both sides.
