🚫 Disrespect at our War Memorial 🚫

We are saddened and disappointed to report that bags of dog waste have been left hanging on the railings of the Cenotaph.

Our War Memorial honours the men and women of Ludgershall who gave their lives for our freedom. Treating it this way is completely unacceptable.

Please bag it and BIN it. There are dog waste bins and general bins around the town, and any bin can be used. If there isn't one nearby, please take it home.

If you see anyone leaving dog waste or bags in public spaces, please report it to the Town Council office.

Thank you to the vast majority of responsible dog owners who always clean up after their pets.

🌺 LUDGERSHALL REMEMBRANCE PARADE – SUNDAY 8 NOVEMBER 🌺

Ludgershall Town Council would like to invite our local community to join us for our annual Remembrance Parade on Sunday 8 November.

We would especially like to hear from ex-Service personnel, veterans, former members of the Armed Forces and cadets who would like to take part in the parade.

🎖️ Would you like to march with us?

Whether you have served recently or many years ago, we would be honoured to have you join us as we come together to remember those who served, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the families who continue to carry their memory.

Medals, berets and regimental or cadet dress are very welcome.

If you would like to take part, please let us know by 19 October so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

🌺 Please share this post with any veterans, ex-Service personnel, cadets or families who may wish to take part.

We look forward to coming together with our veterans, cadets, families and the wider Ludgershall community for this important occasion.

🌺 WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. 🌺

Thank you to German Shepherd Rescue South for choosing Ludgershall Recreation Ground for their first-ever Paws of Honour dog show! It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout supporting a great cause, even in the rain.

We're always happy to help local groups and charities by hiring out the recreation ground, depending on the event and its requirements.

If you're planning something similar, get in touch with the council office to find out more.

Well done to everyone involved, and congratulations on a successful debut event!

🐾 A Massive Thank You from German Shepherd Rescue South! 🐾

We are still reflecting on our very first Paws of Honour—which was also the first-ever dog show that German Shepherd Rescue South has organized entirely on our own! We want to take a moment to send out our deepest gratitude to everyone who made history with us, in the rain!

* Our Incredible Volunteers: Quite simply, without your hard work, dedication, and tireless energy, this event wouldn't have happened. You are the heartbeat of our rescues! ❤️

* Ludgershall Town Council: Thank you so much for allowing us to use the recreation ground to host the show.

* Rapid Hire Swindon Ltd & Staff: A huge thank you for giving us an amazing price on our portable toilets. Your support means the world to us! 🚽👍

* Our Raffle Donors: A massive thank you to everyone who donated such wonderful prizes for our raffle, including 4 Paws Pet Spa, Wizard of Paws Grooming, Porton Garden Aquatic and Pets, and many more. Your generosity helps us so much! 🎁🎟️

* Our Stallholders: We want to give a special shoutout to every single stallholder who showed up and braved the awful weather, as well as those who courteously let us know ahead of time that they couldn't make it. We truly appreciate you! 🛍️ ReeBee Scents Pawfect Pantry Woogle Wares HS Canine Hydrotherapy Paddock & Paws Veterinary Physiotherapy CJ Canine Academy Jenny Lewis Animal Wellness GEME Designs Jolliepopz Sigourney Anstey Jeffrey’s lunchbox Big Chaos Pup Co. As well as the amazing Lauren & Hardy for giving up their time so we could dance in the rain.

* Everyone Who Came Out: To all of you who battled the elements to support our debut show—and to all of our fantastic four-legged winners—thank you for showing up for our cause! 🐶🏆

Despite the weather, your community spirit shone through and made our first event unforgettable. We couldn't have done it without you all!
