The Social Inclusion team and Community Safety team are at the New Local Stronger Things conference today in London to learn from others and shout about the work of Luton Council and how we are working with our communities.

Last week, partners from across Luton came together at the Town Hall to celebrate Gypsy, Roma and Traveller (GRT) History Month.

Organised in partnership with Luton Irish Forum and Luton Roma Trust, the event celebrated the culture, heritage and contributions of GRT communities through music, speeches and shared experiences.

The event highlighted the importance of ensuring that all communities feel heard, represented and included. It was particularly encouraging to see strong attendance from GRT communities, reflecting the progress being made in building trust, strengthening relationships and creating opportunities for participation.
