🎉 Happy Friday from Burr Square! ☀️

Today was a fantastic example of community spirit in action, with two brilliant activities bringing residents together in High Town

hosted their Sunflower Sowing activity, creating a great opportunity for local people to get involved, learn something new and connect with others. The session sparked lots of positive conversations, with around 30 residents taking part and some even expressing an interest in joining future gardening and litter-picking activities. A huge well done to Konni and the team for such a brilliant idea

Meanwhile, brought football target practice to Burr Square, giving children and families the chance to test their skills and have some fun. Around 50 people got involved throughout the day, with participants receiving free certificates and water bottles

A special thank you also goes to Cafe for helping with the clean-up beforehand and ensuring the space was ready for the community to enjoy

Days like today show the power of bringing people together, creating connections and encouraging active communities. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

and partners are coming together to mark Armed Forces Day and recognise the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces community.

We're encouraging veterans, serving personnel, reservists, cadets and military families from across Luton to come along, connect with others and access information, advice and support from local organisations and council services.

The event will also be an opportunity for the wider community to come together, hear from key speakers and show support for the Armed Forces community within our town.

What an incredible day at this year’s Luton International Carnival 🎉

A few members of the SJU team were proud to be part of the Health & Wellbeing Zone alongside many amazing local organisations, joining thousands of residents celebrating the return of Carnival to Wardown Park

This year marked the 50th anniversary of Luton Carnival, an incredible achievement and a real reflection of the culture, diversity and community spirit that makes Luton so special.

It was fantastic to see so much positivity throughout the day, with residents delighted to see Carnival back in Wardown and communities coming together to celebrate, connect and enjoy the atmosphere together
