A big thank you to a kind member of public at Luton Airport who generously donated a bundle of brand-new dog toys to our Police Dogs! 🦴🎾

PD Jasmine spends her days working hard to help keep everyone safe, just like all of our police dogs do. But when it’s time to switch off and relax, playtime is just as important! These new toys will certainly keep our dogs entertained during their well-earned downtime.
Jasmine has assured us she’ll do her best to share the fun with her fellow four-legged colleagues too… although we can’t make any promises! 🐶😉

There is a large flight restriction zone (FRZ) around LONDON LUTON AIRPORT, this area stretches well into LUTON and the surrounding areas as shown in the image.
It is an offence to fly a drone anywhere within this area without first seeking and being given permission to fly from NATS (National air traffic services), this can be done by clicking this link https://orlo.uk/rZ6w5
If a pilot is flying a drone anywhere within the FRZ of a protected aerodrome without permission, they commit an offence against Article 94A(1)(a) of the ANO (air navigation order).

🚨 Airport Patrols Remain Proactive Across Landside Areas 🚨

Today, officers on patrol identified a suspicious male acting in a manner that caused concern around the Short Stay Car Park and Pick Up & Drop Off zones.
When approached by officers, the male made off on a bicycle before being quickly detained nearby following a short pursuit. He was subsequently stopped and detained for checks.
Our officers continue to carry out high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols across the airport as part of ongoing deployments, designed to deter, detect and disrupt criminality while keeping the public safe.
✈️ Airport Byelaws remain in force across Airport property, including car parks and drop off areas. Users of these facilities are reminded that valid payment/tickets are required where applicable and officers regularly patrol these areas to identify suspicious behaviour, criminal activity and byelaw offences.
👀 If you see anything that doesn’t feel right, report it to airport staff or police immediately. Your information helps us keep the airport safe and secure for everyone.

An intoxicated passenger decided today would be a good day to breach airport security by entering a restricted area without a ticket. This passenger was swiftly arrested and spent the day in the cells until they were sober enough to be charged and bailed to court. All passengers are reminded to watch how much alcohol they consume whilst travelling through LONDON LUTON AIRPORT.
