🐾 Meet PD Ted, the newest member of the Luton Airport Police Dog Unit!

Ted is a hardworking and enthusiastic Fox Red Labrador whose mission is simple: to help keep passengers safe and protect the Airport and its surrounding area. Whether he's on patrol, carrying out searches, or supporting officers, Ted is always ready to get to work.

When he's off duty, Ted's favourite thing to do is go on walks and play with his tennis ball, which keeps him entertained and motivated between shifts!

Please join us in giving PD Ted a warm welcome to the team. 🐶✈️

Starting the shift off with a delayed flight... For one passenger who was wanted for offences in London 🏙️ .

One hour into the shift and officers intercepted a passenger wanted by the Metropolitan Police 👮🏻‍♀️ .

Their departure is now (very) delayed, and the cabin crew have been replaced with detention officers in a custody suite whilst this passenger awaits questioning 🔒 .

Now back to the terminal for more patrols and engaging with our passengers 🤝 .

⚠️ Laser Strike Warning ⚠️

We've recently received reports of laser strikes targeting aircraft around London Luton Airport.

A laser aimed at an aircraft can distract or temporarily dazzle pilots during critical phases of flight and is a criminal offence.

Think before you shine. Keep our skies safe. ✈️🚔

🚨 Project Servator at London Luton Airport 🚨

We’re working hard to keep you safe.

You might notice a visible police presence at London Luton Airport — that’s part of Project Servator, a policing tactic designed to disrupt criminal activity, including terrorism. These deployments are unpredictable and can happen at any time, anywhere across the airport.

Officers are specially trained to spot suspicious behaviour and work closely with airport staff and the public to keep our community safe.

If you see us out and about, feel free to say hello or ask questions. Your support is vital — if something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and report it.

Together, we can help make Luton Airport a safer place for everyone.

This is NOT the getaway these passengers were hoping for ✈️ .

Another productive set of shifts complete assisting with intercepting numerous passengers wanted for offences such as;

- Failing to appear at court for drink driving offences
- Drugs offences
- Failing to appear at court for assaulting an emergency worker
- Burglary and theft offences

Together, we've got it covered 🤝 .

Various offenders arrested today with assistance from the NBTC and dealt with at Luton Police Station.

Nothing beats the beauty of a crisp autumn evening at London Luton Airport!

Whether conducting high-visibility patrols, engaging with the public, or carrying out proactive policing activity, we remain committed to ensuring everyone can travel with confidence.

Moments like these remind us that even during a busy shift, there's always time to appreciate the view.

Happy October, happy travelling!

🍻 One too many before take-off?

Our Project Servator officers were carrying out a deployment around the pick-up and drop-off area when they spotted a passenger enjoying rather more than a pre-flight tipple. 👀🍺

A large quantity of cans, a flight still to catch and plenty of alcohol can be a recipe for trouble.

Our officers spoke with the passenger and offered some early intervention — because nobody wants their holiday to end before the plane even leaves the ground. ✈️

We can’t be everywhere… but we could be anywhere. 👀
