Cllr Ryan gives an update on All Saints View in Houghton Regis:

All Saints View Independent Living scheme in Houghton Regis UPDATE 🎉 🏡 🎉

An important milestone has been achieved in the development of our All Saints View Independent Living scheme in Houghton Regis, which has now reached practical completion of phase one, with 105 apartments now ready for occupation.

Applications for both the rented and shared-ownership properties have been open for eight weeks supported by active promotion and publicity to local residents, which has seen a very encouraging flow of applications. There is also significant commercial interest in the restaurant and the shops provided as part of this mixed-use scheme that will be a real boost to the local economy. Further information*

CBC anticipate people moving into All Saints View during the week of 21-28 March, beginning with the residents of Red House Court, which will be demolished once they have moved to their new home. The process of moving in will take several weeks and our housing and care teams will be on hand to support people with all the practicalities, supporting them in every way to move into their new apartment. Red House Court residents have been involved in choosing their apartments and are generally excited, though with a touch of trepidation, at the prospect of settling into their new home.

Congratulations to Sky Brown for taking home a historic bronze for Team GB! 🥉 A truly inspirational performance, achieved through fearless hard work, courage and determination. You inspire us all! An incredible future is ahead in Skateboarding for this young lady no doubt!
And what a sensational performance by all the women on Team GB!!! Their camaraderie and support towards each other was truly humbling to see. Exactly what the Olympics is all about! You are truly role models to the world, not only in sportswomanship, but in showing the world just what girls can do! 🇬🇧💪

4 DAYS UNTIL POLLING DAY!!! Your Labour candidates, Rigerta Ahmetaj and Chris Slough, have been out and about in Tithe Farm and Parkside speaking to residents about local issues.

It's clear residents want their voices heard ✊. For too long Houghton Regis has been ignored and forgotten by Central Beds Council. Chronic underfunding, dilapidated local services and the loss of our green spaces to housing developments; that's what the CBC have done for Houghton Regis.

It's about time Houghton Regis got a FAIR DEAL. A fair deal for our local services, for our residents and for our young.

Your Labour team are ready to make Houghton Regis a great place to grow up and grow old in. That's why a vote for Labour is a vote for standing up for Houghton Regis and for the future we all want for our young.
