The Safer Luton Partnership The Safer Luton Partnership has been in existence for over 30 years. It works with a range of statutory, business, voluntary and community partners.

The SLP is a multi-award-winning organisation that is voluntary led that help the community of Luton to reduce crime, improve the quality of life and develop safer neighbourhoods. The work is focused primarily on supporting those that have become a victim of crime through a range of interventions from one to one work to self-help and group work. Liaising and working with partners to produce better

outcomes for victims through collaborative partnership working. Delivering work with young people that addresses offending behaviour and prevention through a diverse training programme that is aimed at reducing the opportunities available for people to become a victim of crime by delivering a range of initiatives.

Our Luton SOS service has been providing a place of safety and medical and emotional support to members of the community for over 15 years. This service is facilitated by our professionally training volunteers in first response emergency care. We are looking for new volunteers to join the team. We provide all training, supply uniforms and cover all travel and expenses. If you or anyone you know might be interested in becoming a first aid volunteer, please call Joan Bailey on 07768 160 744

Happy Birthday to Luton SOS Bus Project The Safer Luton Partnership is proud to have delivered this service for the last 15 years. Launched on the 17th of March 2000 to provide a place of safety in Luton Town Centre the project has grown from strength to strength. The project is reliant on its amazing volunteers who give huge amounts of their time to make sure the service delivers a high quality service. Environmental Action Day (EAD) on 05/02/2025 - Sixth Form College, Bardfield College and Stopsley High School.

Students take a big step in fighting the war on waste 👟💪
More than 50 students & staff from Luton Sixth Form, Stopsley High School and Barnfield joined forces on a litter pick today, resulting in 25 bags full of litter being collected.

Alongside the litter pick, our ASB Victims Champion joined officers from the Priority ASB team, NET, LutonSJU , and a local Cllr on the EAD where they door knocked & spoke with local residents to get an understanding of any issues they are experiencing.

Estates Day at Gillam Court

Our ASB Victims Champion supported an Estates Day organised by Paradigm Housing Association with a colleague from Bedfordshire Police & Luton Council's Priority ASB Team.

The Estates day was arranged in response to reports of drug-related ASB and environmental crime in the area. Along with litter picking, a deep clean was carried out. The ASB Victims Champion and partners spoke to residents to provide advice and reassurance.

Our ASB Victims Champion joined partners from Luton Council & Bedfordshire Police to support another excellent Environmental Action Day (EAD) in and aroynd Downs Rd. We helped with a litter pick and spoke to residents about ASB and crime to offer support and reassurance.

The event was arranged due to ongoing environmental crime, as well as ASB and drug related issues in the area.

Our ASB Victims Champion joined partners from the Priority ASB Team, along with Luton Council Cllrs, NET, Bedfordshire Police , and the Social Justice Unit for an EAD in Abigail Close.

The EAD was arranged in response to reports of drug-related ASB and environmental crime in the area. Along with litter picking, a deep clean was carried out. The ASB Victims Champion and partners spoke to residents to provide advice and reassurance.

Our ASB Victims Champion supported an Environmental Action Day (EDA) at Cradock Rd & Hayhurst Rd with Partners from Bedfordshire Police & Luton Council. The EDA was arranged by the Priority ASB Team in response to reports of ASB, fly-tipping and littering in the area.
There was a clean-up of the area supported by Neighbourhood Enforcement and Street Cleansing Team who took away large items and the rubbish from a litter pick. There was community engagement via a door knock to speak to residents and local businesses to provide advice and offer support if required.
