Well done Lytham, blink and you missed it!

The Environment Group of Lytham Town Council are working hard to improve Lytham but you can do your bit too.
We want to identify those unsightly areas or areas where accessibility is a problem.
A short walk down Preston Rd identified the following issues which have all been reported.
Most of these are the responsibility of Lancashire County Council, we have the ref numbers and will chase them up.
But if you have a problem area near you please let us know by emailing the photos and locations to our clerk at

By working together we can all make a difference.

1) The new handrail still hasn’t been fitted( ref no 818845)
2) The old street lighting column still hasn’t been removed after an accident ( ref no 818849)
3) The sink hole at the refuge island has been there for 2 months ( ref no 818852)
4) The hedges around the boundary of the Lytham Primary Care Centre are causing accessibility issues and need cutting back ( reported to their estate manager)
5) The double posts for the tourism sign outside Hope Community Church is causing accessibility issues and will either be relocated or re hung on one post( ref no 818853)
6) Removal of obsolete sign ( ref no 818847)
7) Growth at bottom of tree is obscuring the vision of cars pulling out and will be cut back ( ref no 818857)
