Really excited for my first fundraising event, BINGO!

Come on down this Friday for a night of fun and games. All proceeds go to my two Mayoral charities, Cardiac Risk in the Young and My CWA - Cheshire Without Abuse

The Mayor of Macclesfield is holding a fundraising Bingo night on the 4th September in support of his two chosen charities Cardiac Risk in the Young and My CWA - Cheshire Without Abuse.

The event is being held at the Packhorse Bowling & Social Club on the corner of Abbey Road and Westminster Road.

Doors at 6:30pm, eyes down at 7pm.

Thrilled to announce my first public fund raising event will be a Bingo night on the 4th September at the Packhorse Bowling & Social Club on the corner of Abbey Road and Westminster Road.

All monies raised will go to my two chosen charities, Cardiac Risk in the Young and My CWA - Cheshire Without Abuse, both of whom are close to my heart, do amazing work in the town and are extremely worthwhile causes, so please do come down and take part - we have some fantastic prizes too.

I’m now 40km into my Mayoral challenge of running 100km, and beat my personal best at the Tatton 10k today!

Raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young, I took on my 4th 10km race since becoming Mayor in May. Knocking over 3:30 off my PB time, I finished in 53:37. Happy to be progressing, but lots more to do!

ONGOING | WOODLAND AND GRASS FIRE, MACCLESFIELD FOREST

Firefighters are currently tackling a large woodland and grass fire in Macclesfield Forest.

We have multiple crews at the scene, with additional resources on the way to support operations.

Our Control Room is receiving a high volume of calls from people reporting smoke in the area. Please be reassured that we are aware of the incident and firefighters are on scene working hard to bring the fire under control.

Please avoid the area. Local residents are asked to close windows and doors if affected by smoke.

🏃🏻 Another 10km fundraising run completed today in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young!

Runnorthwest’s Wilmslow Summer 10k was a tough one, with 29 degrees heat making it incredibly hot!

If you’re able to donate, please consider giving some money to my fundraiser - every penny will count towards saving lives!

As my second 10km run fundraiser for Cardiac Risk in the Young, I’ll be taking on the this weekend.

If you are able to donate anything at all, it will go towards a vital cause - ensuring young people can access cardiac screenings that save lives.

There’ll be lots of Mayoral events throughout the year to donate to in aid of my charities too, and a few more 10k’s. Keep an eye out for more!

⚽️ It was a pleasure to attend Carefound Home Care’s Charity football match today as they took on a team of nurses to raise money for East Cheshire NHS Charity.

Lots of money raised for a vital cause, and a very enjoyable match with lots of goals and laughs.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ It was my pleasure to lead the MaccPride parade and deliver the opening speech today.

MaccPride is a celebration of our town’s diversity and inclusivity, and it’s been a privilege to have opened the festival for 2 years in a row.

My thanks go to the organisers and volunteers who made the day as vibrant as always. It was lovely to meet so many people across the day and hear your stories.

As Mayor, I am committed to being a visibly ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
