Training Exercise at Macduff Harbour

On Thursday 24 September, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews from Banff and Macduff Community Fire Stations carried out a training exercise aboard a vessel at Macduff Harbour.

We would like to thank Aberdeenshire Council’s Macduff Harbour staff and Macduff Shipyards for providing access to their facilities and allowing us to use their properties. Without these partnership agreements and the cooperation of local organisations, vital training exercises like this could not take place.

Joint exercises provide valuable opportunities to strengthen teamwork, test operational procedures and ensure that all agencies can work seamlessly together when responding to incidents in challenging environments. By training together, emergency services continue to build the skills and confidence needed to deliver the best possible outcomes for the communities they serve.

Congratulations to Watch Commander Gary Clark who earlier this year marked 20 years with Scottish fire and rescue service. Great dedication and a fantastic achievement, would also like to thank his family and employer for being cooperative and understanding. Heres to many more years left at dedicating him to Macduff fire station and protecting his community🚒🚒
