Our Summer Schemes are now available to book online via our Leisure hub and can be booked online at: www.midulstercouncil.org/summer, after which parents will be contacted with confirmed places.

Summer schemes will take place 𝟐𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 - 𝟏𝟒 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 at Cookstown Leisure Centre, Dungannon Leisure Centre, Greenvale Leisure Centre, Meadowbank Sports Arena
and Maghera Leisure Centre and from 𝟐𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 – 𝟕 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 at Moneymore Recreation Centre.

Summer Leisure camps are available to book 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰 and the council’s £1 offers will be available to book from 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟑𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 via the Leisure Hub.

Chair of the Council, Councillor Dee Varsani attended Mid Ulster Disability Forum's Disability Information event yesterday evening, Wednesday 17 June.

Speaking at the event, the Chair said, "This event offers a fantastic opportunity for people from across the district to learn about and showcase the wide range of support available through an variety of organisations, services and activities."

As well as the Council, there were support charities, statutory agencies, Health Trusts, support services and people with disabilities in attendance.

Attendees took the opportunity to browse all the wonderful stalls in attendance and gathered lots of useful information and contacts.

Walking in groups can be a wonderful way to make new friends, and walking side by side makes it easier to talk openly, listen with attention, and discover new perspectives.

When we walk without an agenda or destination, we create space for conversations where real depth, insight and understanding can emerge.

We're proud to announce that this year's Family Fayre and Pre-Loved Sale will support Baby Basics Magherafelt, a local charity that provides essential items to families with babies and young children who are facing financial hardship and difficult circumstances.

Through referrals from health professionals and support agencies, Baby Basics Magherafelt helps local families by providing much-needed items such as clothing, nappies, toiletries, baby equipment and starter packs, ensuring children have the essentials they need during challenging times.

Supported by the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and NIRN - Northern Ireland Resources Network, this popular community event promotes sustainable living, supports local families and encourages the reuse of quality baby and family items.

🎉 GOOD NEWS - Dungannon Library Preparing to Welcome the Community Back 🎉
We are delighted to announce that Dungannon Library is reopening to the public tomorrow, Wednesday 17 June at 9:30am. The team in Dungannon Library is looking forward to welcoming customers back and we would like to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and support during what has been a challenging time for all involved.

Our particular thanks go to the fantastic staff and friends in Mid Ulster District Council and Ranfurly House, who worked with us to provide a temporary space for local people while the library was unavailable. Their support and partnership were greatly appreciated and helped ensure the community continued to have access to library services during this time.

Paul McKearney, Branch Library Manager at Dungannon Library, said: “We are excited to be reopening our doors and welcoming customers back to Dungannon Library. We know how important the library is to many people in the local community and we are grateful for the kindness, patience and encouragement shown to the team over recent weeks.

“We look forward to seeing familiar faces again and helping people reconnect with all the services, activities and opportunities the library has to offer.”
