On Friday 11th September 2026, we are inviting all pupils to wear glasses to school. Children can wear any type they wish, including reading glasses, sunglasses, sports glasses, fun glasses or homemade glasses! 🤓😎

We know that some children can feel uncomfortable or self-conscious about wearing glasses or being seen as “different”.

Our Glasses Day will help remind everyone that our differences are part of what makes us unique and that every child should feel comfortable, confident and included in our school 🤩

We hope everyone will join in and help us celebrate inclusion! 🌟

It has been great to see all the children back at school! 🤩

We hope they have enjoyed returning from the summer holidays and are settling in well!

A quick reminder that we return to full school days from Tuesday 1st September 2026.

Back to School! 🎒

We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the new school year! 😁

A reminder of the following dates:
Thursday 27th August: Reception, P1, P2, P6 and P7 only
Friday 28th August: P3, P4 and P5 only

Children may arrive at school from 9.00am onwards with class beginning at 9.30am. School will finish at 11.30am on both days. Please ensure that your child brings a bottle of water and a snack with them. There will be no dinner on the days mentioned above.

We hope this shorter start will help ease the children gently into the new school year as we understand it can take some time to get back into routine.

Please remember that school will be closed on Monday 31st August for the Bank Holiday. Our first full school day for all pupils will be Tuesday 1st September.

Further information and details regarding the upcoming school year will follow in the coming days. The school office will be open from Monday 24th August for any enquiries.

All Ireland Day 🏐

A huge well done to our P6 and P7 children who took part in a fantastic All-Ireland tournament this week featuring teams representing Dublin, Louth and Mayo 🌟

There were some brilliant, competitive games throughout the group stages, with every team showing great skill, teamwork and determination. After an exciting set of matches, Dublin and Mayo progressed to the final.

The final was a brilliant contest from start to finish, with both teams giving it everything. In the end, Mayo came out on top, winning by 6 points after a superb performance 🏆

A massive congratulations to all the children involved! 👏

Hot weather advice ☀️

• Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen (and reapply every 2 hours!)
• Wear a hat and sunglasses
• Seek shade during peak UV hours (11am – 3pm)
• Stay hydrated
• Stay cool

Prolonged heat poses a particular risk to older people, young people and those with heart and lung conditions.

Look after yourself and your loved ones and check up on neighbours who may be less able to look after themselves.

Huge congratulations to Cadhla who had a fantastic weekend at the West Tyrone Feis in Omagh! 🤩

Cadhla achieved an amazing 1st place in the Light Jig and 10th place in the Championship — what excellent achievements! 👏
