What an incredible moment for Magherafelt and the wider Mid Ulster community to see local talent making headlines around the world.

The spotlight has been shining on Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director for Dior, following the reveal of the wedding dress created for Taylor Swift, a reminder that world-class creativity can begin right here on our doorstep.

It was fantastic to see local businesses featured on BBC News NI, sharing their pride in someone whose success continues to inspire so many.

Moments like these remind us of the talent, creativity and ambition that runs right through Mid Ulster.

💛 We were delighted to see that the Niamh Louise Foundation has recently moved into its new premises at 4 Loy Street, Cookstown.

The Foundation provides a safe and welcoming space where anyone can talk about worrying thoughts, thoughts of su***de or self-harm, offering love, understanding and a non-judgemental listening ear to everyone, regardless of age, background or circumstances.

Organisations like the play such an important role in supporting our communities, and we're incredibly fortunate to have this valuable service here in Mid Ulster.

We would like to wish the entire team every success in their new home and thank them for the compassionate work they do every day. 💛

Work commenced yesterday in Cookstown by Northern Ireland Water on Molesworth Street & Union Street to upgrade new stormwater infrastructure - please see below for more details.👇

Essential work will commence on Monday 29th June to install new stormwater infrastructure in the Molesworth Street and Union Street areas of Cookstown for a period of 5-6 weeks.

The work – which will remove storm (rain) water from this part of the combined wastewater network – will be instrumental in delivering environmental benefits through reduced spills and economic benefits through increased future capacity.

Short localised lane closures will be around any working areas with access maintained to all business and residential properties and car parks. The project team thank the public for their patience and cooperation as we complete this essential work.
