Kent Army Cadet Force

Kent Army Cadet Force National Youth Organisation Cadets of all abilities and backgrounds that are able to access the majority of our activities are welcome.

THE ARMY CADET FORCE (ACF) is one of the UK’s oldest, largest and most successful youth organisations, Consisting of more than 47,000 cadets in around 1,700 local detachments across the country, the ACF helps young people between the ages of 12 and 18 develop both personally and physically by providing a range of opportunities, challenges and activities, We have a long and proud history of prepari

ng youngsters for all walks of life and encouraging an active involvement in local communities. The ACF is not a recruiting tool for the Armed Forces but seeks to promote a sense of understanding of what the Armed Forces' roles and responsibilities are. We develop young people physically and mentally, improving self-confidence, teamwork, friendship and leadership through a wide diversity of fun, exciting and adventurous opportunities. We also aim to develop a sense of community in our cadets.

Whilst we celebrate the tremendous time and commitment given by all the CFAVs in the County. There is also a massive amount of Volunteering going on by Cadets doing their Duke of Edinburgh's Award, as noted by the Social Value Certificate from the DofE, with a rise of 549 hours over last years total.
Well done to all adults and cadets for the Volunteering they all do!!
