Hayle Park Nature Reserve

Hayle Park Nature Reserve Hayle Park Nature Reserve manages two sites located in Tovil, which covers 60 acres in total.

We’re proud to be considered one of the top natural sites in Maidstone, and we can’t wait for you to stop by and visit. Hayle Park is an independent trust and does not receive any direct funding from local councils or government. We do not employ any staff and rely on volunteers to maintain our beautiful reserves, as well as complete all the administrative tasks and fund raise! Please consider bec

oming a friend of Hayle Park via our website and making a small regular donation. Alternatively, you can make a one-off donation via our donate button on our website or via our Local Giving page https://localgiving.org/charity/HPNR/

If you are unable to give financially, you can choose to support us when you shop via Amazon Smile https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/1188441-0. We have plenty of volunteering opportunities from joining our fund raising committee to tree planting.

Thank you to our guests who visited our tree walk at the reserve hosted by our knowledgeable trust chairman Paul Wilby.
Our reserve has a diverse range of tree species from native oaks, hornbeam, black poplar, yew, silver birch, to non-native horse chestnut and sycamore.
During an enjoyable walk around the reserve Paul focussed on some of our most ancient and grand feature trees, providing background to the species, condition and features, threats posed by disease and disturbance and historical importance in our community.
Our next event is the dawn chorus on Sunday 19th April, details for signing up here:
