September at Beeleigh Abbey.

With the gardens beginning their gentle turn towards autumn, September brings together some of the final opportunities of the season to visit Beeleigh.

2nd & 9th September — Historic Tours
Local historian Stephen Nunn leads a tours through the grounds and around the exterior of the Abbey. Having known Beeleigh all his life, Stephen brings its remarkable history vividly into focus — tracing its story from its foundation in 1180, through its 17th-century evolution, and peeling back the layers to reveal the surviving traces of the original monastic cloister.

The walk takes in the surviving Chapter House, the site of the Abbey Church and the statue of founder Robert Mantell, uncovering a landscape that still holds the imprint of the Premonstratensian Canons who lived here centuries ago.

4th & 11th September — Open Gardens
Just two opportunities remain this year to enjoy Beeleigh’s heritage gardens, with 11th September marking our final Open Garden of the 2026 season.

5th September — Produce Pop-Up, 10am–2pm
A celebration of the estate and the approaching autumn harvest, with Beeleigh lamb, homegrown herbs and pumpkins, Beeleigh honey, plants and more, alongside bread, pastries and coffee.

Three ways to experience Beeleigh this September — through its history, its gardens and the produce of the estate.
