A man has sadly died following a collision in Minety.
At approximately 7.05pm, an Audi Rs3 was travelling northeast along the B4040 from the direction of Charlton towards Minety when the vehicle left the carriageway and collided with a tree.
No other vehicles were involved.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 40s from Swindon, sadly died at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
A passenger in the Audi – a man in his 50s – was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed whilst collision investigators carried out enquiries at the scene.
