John Healey knows that Starmer and Reeves are bad for this country and are leaving it in a dangerous state, meanwhile our MP gives full backing to the lame duck prime minister, why does he continue to back him?

It is wonderful to see how much our community cherishes Roche Abbey. It remains a firm favorite for those looking for a peaceful walk from Maltby, or a quick drive to soak up some history.
While the shift to free entry last year was a welcome change, we have all felt the impact of the loss of amenities like the toilets and refreshment areas. Furthermore, I know many of you have been disappointed that the site gates have remained locked this year, preventing full access to the grounds.
I have been in active communication with English Heritage to express these concerns and press for a solution. I am pleased to share some good news: they have officially appointed a new key holder! They are scheduled to begin their duties over the next week or so, which means full access to the abbey grounds will be possible again very soon.
Beyond just opening the gates, I have also requested a formal meeting with English Heritage to discuss the long-term future of the site. I will be meeting with them shortly to explore ways to better support the visitor experience and look at what other possibilities might be on the horizon.
I will keep you all posted as soon as I have an update from our meeting. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the grounds again soon!

Does Jake Richards think the same?

We’ve remained deeply concerned about the number of vehicles leaving the A631 to Tickhill, an issue we have been consistently raising with the authorities over the last few years.
Safety on our local roads remains our top priority, so we are pleased to see that road dressing has now been applied to this stretch. This essential maintenance should significantly improve surface wear and, more importantly, provide much better traction for drivers in all weather conditions.
For the moment, please adhere to the reduced speed limit while the surface is loose and bedding in. We will continue to monitor the area closely to ensure these improvements make the difference we all want to see.
